Motown Treasures

I was a member of the Four Tops fan club run by Karen Spreadbury ( aka Sharon Davis).
I was aware that other clubs were available but it was early in my Motown discovery.
I have read that Motown wanted individual artists fan club rather than a "corporate" club. I don't know why that would be the case.
I do recall my Father being suspicious about the magazine....perhaps just being cautious about what I was up to?

Regarding Jimmy Ruffin, he did well to have that level of recognition.
