I think that UK Motown missed a trick by putting that on the "B" side of the follow up to her surprise UK hit with "It Should Have Been Me".  Much as I love "It's Bad For Me To See You" I think that "Walk Out The Door If You Wanna" would have appealed to all those who merrily stomped along to similar sounding "Northern Soul" tunes around that time.  "It's Bad For Me To See You" was very evidently too sophisticated for the British audience.

The only thing wrong with Walk Out The Door is that the song is so short. Knowing Norman Whitfield and his taste for extra-long productions, I've been hoping for an extended version of this track.

By the way, who provides the male voice at the beginning?

I have a feeling this came from a Jools Holland TV show. Jools made a series of his travels in the USA, meeting up with singing legends. I read somewhere that he met Yvonne during this project. I contacted the BBC and Jools to ask about this but never got a response.

Been playing 'The **** is Black' so pushing this up. Such a shame that Yvonne's proposed second Motown album came to nothing!
