Really loved Gloria's sole Motown album. I have no idea why this track was picked as the first UK 45:-
It's a weird one and totally unlike anything else on the album.
Anyone remember what the B-side was?

'So Tired (Of The Way You're Treating Our Love Baby)' is the 'b' side Eric. I love 'Tin Can People' but it would not have been my choice for a single! 'Share My Love' is my 2nd fav Motown album. 'Try Love' is my fav track.

Love that one, John.
I thought this was the most Motown-y track on the album:-
Such a fun track - could just imagine Junior Walker ripping it up.

Excuse the pun but this really is a glorious album and when it was released in the UK in spring '74, it was like a breath of fresh air and such a left field release for Motown being that it was such a soulful affair.

Another 70s album that I had, but didn't play. I think "Tin Can People" put me off.
I will have a look at this album, as you guys seem to rate it highly.

Snake,
It is highly regarded in deep soul circles as well.

Larry, it truly is an amazing album and we are so lucky to have it on CD. Please let us know what your thoughts are when you play it next.

Finally managed to listen to the album..I had the vinyl but apart from Tin Can People, can't recall it. Probably not played.
Sounded good..I think I will warm to it once copied to cdr.
The album comes with a bonus "If I were your woman"

I've finally managed to copy this album to CDr, and giving it a few plays today.
It certainly can't be accused of being too "samey" as there are various styles on it.
So far enjoying it...not sure about favourites yet but " Try Love" is getting a seal of approval.
Now I need to consider whether I want to copy the Tata Vega LPs. I had 3 I think.....the first 2 got some play ...not sure about the 3rd.
are they worth it guys?

Our Eric is the Tata expert Larry, I'm sure that he can help.

Thanks John
I do recall that of the late 70s Motown albums I had....dirt cheap in Town Centre store.....bought loads didn't really play them, Tata is I think, an album(s) I had a go at.

Tata had four LPs, Snake.
IMHO the third is the best, the second not far behind. The fourth seems to have been cobbled together rather quickly and is still very good.
Let's look at those albums in Tata's place.
