Posts or rather the lack of them. Sadly it's always the same hardy souls who post but many more actually view them. I've tried very hard to make this a friendly and easy group to post to, opened up lots of new non Motown boards and put my own money in to keeping it going by buying more space etc. I must therefore be doing something wrong perhaps you can tell me what and if I can I will remedy it.

I wish I had a satisfactory answer for you, John, but I don't.

I realise I am an internet dinosaur, so things like Facebook are not in my life. Perhaps others, more confident and adept at that stuff are going elsewhere?

I really like it here - it's the only place I feel comfortable posting.

I think it is the sheer volume of other sites on the net that makes it difficult to attract "traffic" SWI ….

Hi John,
Me personally I think this a fantastic site. I've not managed to get here as often as I would like recently due to other commitments.
The folks on here are so much friendlier than other places and when I do post some of my naivety comments I don't get slagged off for them. Plus I learn so much from you all

I deliberately did not post just to see what would happen. The only consolation is that the other place has become even more stagnant apart from a certain forum! There is nothing I can do so I'm going to stop worrying about it. New MT will soon be a year old!

As you guys have read, I had drifted away for a while before coming back and since re-enlisting, I have enjoyed this site immensely. I literally grew up on Motown and as scary as it is to admit this, I am recently retired and still loving Motown as much as ever. 55 or so years of ears tuned to the Detroit Sound and I can still not get enough. I am sure people in my neighborhood raise their eyebrows about the old geezer cranking up the old music at such high volume, but who cares what they think? Today's music is garbage anyway for the most part.

So from my vantage point, I can assure you that you are doing nothing wrong. My suggestion would be for each of us to set a goal to try and introduce at least one new friend a week (well maybe a month!) to this site and that should help it grow exponentially. Surely we all know other music fans out there besides just the ones already on here.
