Had to struggle long and hard with that compilation and particularly that track but I held onto the end and insisted - I love her fruity little laugh in the middle there somewhere...

Thanks Paul. Pity as it was taking Chris & Motown in whole new direction.

I loved that track and thanks for posting. For some reason it reminded me of Jermaine Jackson's track Burnin' Hot.
All those Anthology sets from the lesser known artist were great.

I agree that the anthologies were what we had been crying out for. All were amazing.

There is a Jermaine Jackson connection obviously and I believe there is a version by him around somewhere

Well, WHATCHA DOIN' appears on the Jermaine Jackson PLAYLIST - THE VERY BEST OF JERMAINE JACKSON CD and, according to Discogs, the song was written by Chris Clark, Berry Bordy and J Jackson. It's a non-LP B-side and had not been on CD before and it is a whopping 5' 29" long. Sounds like the same song to me, Paul.

Eric, Chris's 'What You Doing' was written by Tom Baird.

That may be so, John, but am I the only person who has listened to the Jermaine Jackson track?

I can hear the similarity but am I delusional?
