Motown Treasures

Last night (27th October 2022) Channel Five aired a thought provoking 90 minute documentary about Detroit, with TV presenter, writer and adventurer (I'm quoting Wikipedia there) Ben Fogle exploring various aspects of the city, visiting severely blighted and abandoned neighbourhoods and factory complexes and meeting up with various citizens who are joining in the crusade to improve and revive the place.

Needless to say, the documentary also included something about the history of the city and its precipitous decline in the late 20th Century.  For us music lovers there was also a five minute segment about a half hour into the show about a certain '60s record company that we all treasure with Mr Fogle visiting the former home of one of the label's biggest stars.

The programme is now available to view on Channel Five website, though you will need to sign-in and/or register to watch it ... I'm not sure whether the site is only restricted to UK residents and/or those with VPNs.
