The Vancouvers
« on: May 16, 2020, 01:15:40 am »
The only press photo I have with the full Vancouvers line-up, as shown on the album cover, is from the same photo session with all the guys standing in line.

Subsequent promo photos show Bobby with just two guys.

We've heard that some of the Bobby Taylor solo album tracks feature the Vancouvers - or was it that some of the group's album tracks were solo recordings by Bobby?

Either way - the group seems to have been quite short-lived. I wonder why...

I think the group dispersed as Tommy Chong attempted to have the Vancouvers contract halved, so that he Bobby Taylor and We Henderson would constitute as the group while others would become session artists.

I had a playlist on shuffle the other day and it played these two cracking tracks. Hope you enjoy them as much as me.

Glad you like it Snakepit.
Hi Humboldt, as much as I like The Originals Baby I'm For Real and it used to be one of my all time favourites but not since I heard BT & the Vancouvers version.
