"He's The One"

From DFTMC ....

"He's The One (Ivy Jo Hunter-Curtis Colbert-William Stevenson) published Jobete 01-Nov-67

alt title: When I Hear His Name

The Velvelettes; recorded Hitsville, completed 31-Mar-66 ; produced by Ivy Jo Hunter

31-Oct-04; CD (S): Motown 980 9372 The Motown Anthology [UK]"

Very bright and breezy, very strong vocals with full, intricate orchestration going on in the background.

I can't help but feel that this could have been a very successful UK release in 1971/2, around the time that the ladies had chart action with the revival of "These Things Will Keep Me Loving You", of course it was never to be as I doubt if anyone outside of Detroit even know of its existence.

Seeing as the song was published, which presumably made it available to any Tom, Dick or Harry, at the end of 1967 did anyone else ever record it?

It's not showing up in Second Hand Songs or any of my other sources.
