'She Blew My Mind (69 Times)'. Is my fav track from 'Throwin' Down' which reached #13 BB Hot 100 albums.. It was also a single with peaked at #62 BB Hot 100 R&B singles. I really must get a best of Rick album.

One of my favourite Rick James tracks. I just wish the John McFee guitar solo towards the end was a little more prominent.

The Throwin' Down album inner sleeve does not list the backing vocals for each track but there are a multitude singers involved on the album so take your pick!

Backing Vocals – Grace Slick, Jean Carn, Julia Waters Tillman, La Morris Payne, Lawrence Hilton Jacobs, Levi Ruffin, Jr., Maxine Waters Willard, Patti Brooks, Rick James, The Mary Jane Band, The Temptations.

Additional Backing Vocals  – Daniel LeMelle, Diane Nixon, Jeri Fields, Moses Johnson, Nate Hughes, Roy Poper

I guess The Temptations for "Standing On the Top" and MJG seem to be on almost all Rick's tracks. Teena Marie is the lead vocalist on "Happy"

Thanks very much Brian. I had forgotten that John McFee was a Doobie Brother! There seems to be a cast of thousands on ' Throwin' Down'.
