It's an interesting concept, and doesn't sound too-far away from what certain commercial radio stations are likely to play, but it does bring up the age=old question of exactly WHAT "Northern Soul" is ... is it a specific style of music as some people think? ... is it a music scene of loosely affiliated venues and DJs (which is what I think) ... or is it Soul music that is (or was) popular with the dancers in "The North"? There are more questions than answers here!!
Can't help thinking that the ladies running the event might make an exception for some "Northern Soul" favourites though and the likes of "There's A Ghost In My House", "The Night", "I Love Music", "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" and "Love Town" might get played.
