That was a nice way to ease myself into the day, a selection of Motown instrumental backing-tracks taken from those Motown Karaoke CDs that occasionally get discussed here.
When "It's A Shame" came on in the 3rd link it reminded me that I'm still missing one of those Karaoke CDs ... the "I Just Want To Celebrate" one ... there was a copy up for sale on EBay last year at around £140 but I passed on that and it seems to have gone anyway. Discogs has a copy for sale at around £80 but that is still way over my budget, especially as the EMail I received this morning from The National Lottery telling me I'd won a prize on last night's EuroMillions turned out to be for a mere £2.80p rather than the 200 Million that I'd been expecting. And, to add insult to injury, I realised yesterday that I've just spent £15 on a second copy of a CD that I've had for over a year.
Still, the excess CD did turn up in a batch that included the new "More Motown Guys" collection ... playing it at the moment so, in spite of being over £200 Million poorer, I'm still a happy bunny!!
