Great finds ....

These sessions would have been recorded when the 1972 UK reissue of "My Guy" was riding high in the British charts, up to #14 that particular week.
Presumably it is then husband Cecil Womack (later of Womack & Womack fame) playing guitar on the sessions, the guitar-work definitely sounds very Womackesque.

The other recording, apart from "Punch" turns out to be a version of Isaac Hayes' "Do Your Thing".
Curiously Petula Clark's cover version of "My Guy" was starting to create a stir in The US at exactly the same time, as Mary Wells pointed out in an interview printed in "Blues & Soul" 90 (11th Aug 1972).
