Seems strange that Mary would be promoting a Motown record in 1965.....she'd left by then surely.

Yes, she'd left ... however ... according to IMDB the October 11th 1965 show did include her singing "Two Lovers" and her then current 45 "Me Without You".

Three days earlier the show featured her singing "My Guy" and "You Beat Me To The Punch"

It looks to me that this would be around the time that Mary signed for Atco so I think that Mary was just promoting Mary in preparation for her first arco recordings.

The reaction of those kids, or should I say "lack of a reaction" borders on creepy.
