Thanks Roger. I've always liked 'Tar and Cement'. The first version I heard was by Francoise Hardy (link below). Upon hearing it I found Verdelle's original. I think that Verdelle has a beautiful voice as you will hear from the songs on her album '(Alone) In My Room' (link below). Her version of 'Autumn Leaves' is amazing.  I also discovered that she recorded the original version of Sandie Shaw's 1967 flop single 'I Don't Need Anything'. I loved it but it only got to #50! Thankfully her follow up faired much better! It was also recorded by Maxine Brown. All three links are below.
