Jackie is one of the great female singer/song-writers. I could post umpteen tracks by her but here are just a couple:-





She was a great interpreter of others' songs and she was a perfect singer for Burt Bacharach & Hal David's tunes.

Anyone else a fan?

Yes I think that Jackie is very underrated.





and her very different version of 'Bette Davis Eyes' which lacks the drama & power of Kim Carnes re-make.

I don't understand why she never really made the big time. She had the voice, the looks and the songs!

Here she is performing her "Walk Into The Room" (big UK hit for The Searchers of course) back in '64 ...

Looks like she tried to come in too early but she deals with it perfectly ... :) ...
