Just finished listening to last nights show .... great choice for the instrumental "ender" .... 

I remember that Kiki Dee track getting a lot of play on Radio Luxembourg back in 1970, and I think Tony Blackburn played it a few times on his Radio One show but somehow it failed to sell well and now the single goes for silly money.  I think the problem was that a lot of "Soul" fans ignored it as she was seen as being a "Pop" singer.  People pontificating about the distinction between "Pop" and "Soul" was very much a thing at the time and "Blues & Soul" failed to include it in their year-end listing of "Soul singles issued in the UK in 1970", which I thought at the time was a bit bizarre as it was just as "soulful" as some of the TMGs they did list.  Not that I can get all high and mighty about it as I didn't buy Kiki's TMG either!
