"Another Day Another Way"
« on: September 28, 2023, 01:52:52 pm »
Seemingly a pre-cursor to the song "My Place" as sung by Diana Ross and Devastating Affair this is by Barbara Randolph.  It also reminds me a little of another track that I can't bring to mind at present.

DFTMC shows

Another Day, Another Way (Frank Wilson) published Jobete
Barbara Randolph; recorded L.A., completed by 07-Mar-68 ; produced by Frank Wilson
01-Sep-03; CD (M): Spectrum 066 686 2 The Collection [UK]

"My Place" was not written by Frank Wilson though still is a West Coast sound.

"My Place" does sound very similar ...

DFTMC doesn't chronicle when Ms Ross's "My Place" was recorded so it's difficult to be 100% certain which came first and possibly they both had a common origin?
