Some might find it interesting: Eddie's version had its' instrumental track recorded on October 2, 1970 and it was intended for...The Supremes. It was quickly reassigned to Eddie who recorded his lead vocal on October 7, 1970. Frank Wilson recut the track again for The Supremes on October 20, 1970, but that went unused. He recut it a third time on October 21, 1970 and Jean added her lead vocal to it on October 22, 1970. This version uses that third version of the instrumental track with Jean's vocal and takes Eddie's vocal that was laid on the first version. Pretty convenient for this mash-up that versions 1 and 3 were in the same key! It's a shame, though, that Mary and Cindy's background vocals weren't included here. Still, this is a fun mash-up!
