Not one of my fav songs but Jean's version make it very listenable.

Jean sings "People" very well John and sounds even better than she did on a lot of the records IMHO!!

I've always been a bit iffy about that song … are "people who need people" really the luckiest people in the world??  It makes me wonder if any of the guests on "Desert Island Discs" have ever chosen the song? 

I do quite like the version that The Tymes did at the end of '68 however.  I've found this clip of them singing it live on "Top Of The Pops", possibly a week or two after it had reached its UK chart peak of #16 exactly 51 years ago ...   https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/singles-chart/19690205/7501/

Is it just me or did the guys "borrow" some of their dance moves from the Four Tops?
