Motown Treasures

I always loved "Everybody's Got The Right To Love" and was expecting it to be a huge UK hit but somehow Radio One failed to add it to their playlist so it only got a couple of "review" spins as a new release ... my suspicion is that those who compiled the Radio One playlist thought that it included enough "Motown" already and so "Everybody" missed out.  The UK release coincided with the first UK Invictus releases as well and I think the brainboxes who compiled the playlist considered that as a factor for their quota of "Motown".

From what I recall "Everybody" did get a lot of play on both Radio Luxembourg and Radio North Sea and both stations included the song on their station charts ... here is "Everybody" at #18 on the Radio Luxembourg chart of 6th September 1970.
