I can't speak to the Andrews Sistres, but The Supremes sure do impress in this. Whether one likes it or not, Flo just dominates (in a good way, IMO) their portions! The Andrews Sisters kind of seem to be spoofing; The Supremes seem to be paying homage--singing the harmonies they loved to sing together. I've seen color photos of the on-set stuff (rehearsal and air), but never the on-air stuff in color. Although NBC probably has it somewhere in pristine color, fans don't! Oh well, it's fun to see and hear it no matter what shape it's in!
